ERM Webinar本番、無事終了

本日は、過去数ヶ月に渡って準備を進めてきた、ERM Webinarの本番であった。朝の９時から生放送の開始で、司会を英語で進行した。全世界に同時中継でインターネットで配信され、音声とともに画像も見れる仕組みである。最初のスピーカーは、日本の金融庁の杉本課長補佐にお願いしたので、大変、国内外から日本の経済価値ベースのERM/ALM/ソルベンシー規制の進むべく方向性については、注目されていたが、明快なご説明がスライドを使用してでなされたと思う。２番目のスピーカーは、香港のGoldman SachsのExecutive Directorで、アジア市場の金融市場の状況を多数のグラフを使用して説明された。また、保険リスクのヘッジングの話にも言及された。最後のスピーカーは、インドのムンバイからの女性アクチュアリーでWatson Wyattの健康保険プラクティスのヘッドをされている方であった。最近のムンバイのテロリストの影響で、大変不安定な状況のなかではあったが、スライドの準備をしていただいた。内容は、アジア市場の特殊性と多様性を強調されていたと思う。当日は、朝の２時半くらいまで、原稿読み上げの準備をしていた。また、PCがダウンした場合の対応、など心配は尽きなかったが、多くの皆さんの超ハードワークで、何とか成功させることができたと思う。因みに、セミナーの内容は、事前録音バージョンもライブバージョンも、登録した人はしばらくは、視聴することが可能である。アジア地域だけでなく、ヨーロッパ地域や、北米地域も録音されているので、たっぷりと内容がある。このWebinarを成功させるにあたっては、米国アクチュアリー会の事務局のKerri A. Leoさんが徹夜に近い作業でサポートをしていただいた。セミナー終了後、以下のメッセージをいただいた。我々アクチュアリーは、プロフェッショナルとして、自己の所属するプロフェッションに貢献していくことも重要な使命の一つである。

We’re all done! I know it was a lot of work for most of you, and there were some crazy deadlines to meet, but I know that all 403 sites registered for the webcast did appreciate it. We are conducting a final evaluation of the webcast and I will be happy to share the results of this evaluation with you, once they have been compiled.

To the organizing committee—we made it! After 6+ months of planning, conference calls and a little bit of stress, you have once again pulled together a fantastic program. Thank you for donating your time to advancing the profession; you may now do other work. J

The live sessions will be made available to be downloaded, probably next week sometime. They will be available for 90 days. I will send out a message to all attendees with instructions on how to download the sessions as soon as they are available.
